Firewood Harvesting

My family goes through a lot of firewood. Whether having a fire in the fire pit during the summer or burning in our wood stove to supplement the oil heat in winter, we burn through a good amount of wood.

Again, as a result of my cheapness, I took matters into my own hands and asked for a chainsaw for Christmas in 2023. Since then, I've chopped trees into managable stumps, loaded them in my mom's truck, then driven them home to be split, stacked and burned. Since January 2024, I've chopped, split, stacked and burned almost 2 cords of wood.

To reduce my environmental impact and prevent property damage, I use a battery-operated chansaw and only deal with trees which have already fallen and have minimal insect habitation.
